Student section was packed. Where the hell are the men's basketball season ticket holders? Too busy bitching about our lousy football team in the football forum?

I would buy tickets but since I work nights I can only make the weekend games, so financially it doesn't make sense.

Eric Tramiel deserves more minutes. He is extremely polished and looks like a top notch D1 player..... he is consistently putting up big numbers despite smaller minutes.. check out his numbers for the season on only 18 minutes a game: 8.4 points shooting 70% from the field, 40% for 3's with 5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks. His biggest problem... free throws. Shooting horrible at the line. However, at Paris JC I seem to recall he was a 70-80% free throw shooter so hopefully his percentages will increase after he settles in. I can't help but wonder if Eric could play a guard position with his athleticism given our wildly inconsistent guard play? How about 6'7" guard?

Kedric Hogans is also getting visibly better each game and his continues to shoot the ball at a very high percentage. I love Hogan's defense most of all.

Great win tonight.

Do we now own the Sunbelt's only two wins vs the Southland?

Rick

Interesting question. At least it was interesting enough to me that I checked.

Sun Belt vs Southland is now tied at five wins each.

I noticed that Western Kentucky, Middle Tennesse, South Alabama, and the two Arkansas schools have not yet played any Southland opponents. Conversely, Denver, Troy, FAU, La-Monroe, New Orleans and Louisiana have played eight of the ten games vs the Southland.

Remaining games:

Southeast La @ FAU

UTA @ UNT

UTA vs Denver @ Missoula Mt

Sam Houston @ Louisiana

La Monroe @ McNeese

The Southland is a decent league....they have several good teams.

I wish we could arrange a two conference series of games. (Not with the Southland). You know maybe a MAC--Sun Belt Challenge or something like that. I guess having 13 teams kind of screws things up. Maybe when we jettison Denver....we can set up a Challenge with another conference (CUSA, MAC....)

Of course we don't have enough recent history in the tournament to get the MVC to the table with us. They routinely advance multiple schools into the field. Last year was the first one for us in quite awhile.

I didn't get to listen to the game last night and had not heard the final score.....reading through this thread was almost as exciting. It was like following the ups and downs live. Thanks for the effort and dedication.

No worries. I started doing that acouple years ago during the conference tournament I believe, to help out folks who couldn't listen. Has kinda turned into a every game kinda thing.
