The team hasn't won a home game since the SMU game during the Dickey days.....Two years ago

We have bigger problems than the weather.....

Who cares if it rains, I'll be there

Who ever is at the game tommorrow is our hardcore fan base, the rest are imitators.

They are calling for a high of 54 and rain tomorrow.. plus its thanksgiving weekend.. Is this deja vu??

I'm saying 5422

That's pretty much the number I had in my head. I don't know how many will be left by halftime, though.

Maybe I'm a little stunted in my math skills, but I have a hard time understanding why a football team of our caliber, on a cold, rainy day on Thanksgiving weekend can attract 5-7000 people while a basketball team in an environmentally controlled, very nice arena with all cushioned seat backs, who is likely to win 20 games, struggles to attract 3000 people.

I think this answer is simple. There are only 5 home football games. And, football is still the king sport in Texas. Plus, the game-day football experience is still superior to any other sport.

The basketball team does deserve more support. But, it is tough to compare the two sports in popularity.

BTW, I think we get over 10k tomorrow in attendance. The weather will be no where near as miserable as last years Thansgiving Day game. Hopefully, there will still be more than 2k in attendance by halftime :o

The latest weather is now partly sunny with temperatures in the upper 50s.

I've never seen an NCAA stat about "People in attendance as the game ended." Do we really need to manufacture stats in which to be disappointed?

I went to the basketball game. I am not going to the football game because of work, though.

Football is more popular than basketball in this country, and in this region, and in this school. Thus, attendance will be higher for FB. Also, it is easier to plan and travel to 5 weekend games, than it is to go to 10- 15 weekday evening basketball games. I couldn't go to any BB games last season because of work. I am sure something similar happened to other people.

Also we play alot of basketball games during the holiday break.. when no one is here.
