Now this would be a great interview to get from Brett Vito from both Todd Ford and John Deloach!!!!!!! Still don't know why our coordinators are not subject to interviews and can duck responsibility but the players are paraded across to the media to answer wtf is going on.

Kines' current coaching situation, as taskmaster of one of the nation's worst defenses, is arguably as uncomfortable as his rearing. In a nearly-no-win situation, Kines has proven himself great in spinning a yarn.

And bad at spinning a scrawny defense into something tolerable in the tough Big 12 South. Just ask him.

“To stand up here and tell you I did a good job this year — I would be lying,” Kines said. “Straight up.”

He's right. Kines' disheveled unit ranks 113th nationally (among 119 teams) in total defense, with a merciless season wrap set for Thanksgiving night against rival Texas and the nation's eighth-ranked offense.

“If we could go back and change one thing — all year long — if we could just get in the right place we're going to be miles ahead,” Kines said.

Instead, the Aggies find themselves miles behind and mired in last place in the rugged South, with a defense that has worsened as the season has worn on — one Kines takes responsibility for.

You might want to pull down your DODGE/Deloach banner down. It didn't work too well in 2008, they must be have been on the wrong political ticket.

I think it is up to the head coach as to whether the assistants are available to the media. What kind of insight do you think they can provide? Nothing more than trying to put as positive spin as possible on the situation just like the head guy. You think for instance Deloach should publicly criticize his team. You would of course complain about that as well.

No, what would be refreshing is somebody taking responsibility for the team and the lack of execution. Dodge's ego is way too large (ask the local media) to say he is not getting it done.

Where is the accountability? For once in detail, it would be nice to see someone on the staff (for the players sake) that they are not getting it done. BUT that will never come out of Dodge I just want to know whether Deloach or Ford would deflect pressure off the team?

It would be nice to see Dodge say, I'm not getting it done this way, but this is how we are going forward, these are the changes we need to make. Hopefully, it will be done soon after the Ark. State game. Hopefully, the media will make Dodge accountable.

Ummm. Coach Deloach was subject to interview for close to an hour when he stood in for Dodge on the Coach Dodge radio show a few weeks ago. He had great things to say about Dodge and the players, in case you are curious. Wrong name, wrong facts, maybe wrong thing to complain about.
