One of those Vitto mentioned we are in competition with UAB as the only other offer he has....His parents live in Texas City which is a lot closer than Birmingham Alabama. Its interesting that UAB has 12 DL on their current roster (can't tell between DT and DE....4 FR, 3 Soph, 4 Jr and only one senior...plus they have a commit from Justin Wells a 3* NT had recruited so that is a lot more competition for this DT.

We also have outstanding offers to two additional JC DT both 3*. One will be a long shot but the other is still a possibility. So that makes 4 JC DT we are still in the running...

We also have a JC DT that has shown an interest in NT but no known offer at this time.

But who knows at this time? We may wind up zip or there may be others out there that we don't know about at this time.

I guess that is what recruiting so interesting. Old Timer

out of curiosity, how would i go about searching the internet for the results obtained through the FOIA about the athletes that tested positive?

Try here.

But there are exemptions to the FOIA, and personnel privacy is one of them. You would never get the names; especially since the tests could fall under the umbrella of medical records.

You cannot do an internet search. You can research on the internet how to do a written FOIA request. It has to be in writing and you have to be very specific what you are requesting. UNT/Ahtletic Department will have a certain amount of time to reply to the request. There could possibly be a charge for the man hours and the printing. If your request is turned down, they have to give in writing their reasons for turning down your request.

wouldn't the parents only know if their kids, who are players, talked?

and on a side note, i'm not trying to be a horse's rear or anything, i'm just curious about a lot of things that people say about this program.

Its been a horrible two years for anyone associated with this program and thank god its almost over for all the seniors and their parents. Thank goodness its almost over for everyone.

The only way this will be over for everyone would be if Dodge were to leave, otherwise we just have a break before it starts back again.

Miller was good enough to play in 2006 on a defense that ended up around 75th in the nation. He was the leading returning player from last year but he is not good enough to play for Dodge. Dodge's defense is what about 119th in the nation? Joseph is a good kid but since he didn't test positive he can't play on this team. Apparently you must do drugs to play for Dodge at SLC and here.

Ok seriously, I know you are upset and honestly I dont blame you. However your pure hatred for Dodge and your non relenting attacks on him are freakin annoying. After that last comment, Im going to laugh my ass off if Danny plays Saturday.

I am shocked. I mean, in a season full of understanding, common sense and wisdom, why this one little asterisk?

Again. shocked

To denote sarcasm - wow!

What an idea!

Parents talk, players don't, but the parents do

the only reason i can come up with for not bringing him back is because of our lack of schollies, besides that it's just wrong, on different levels.

Espcecially since everyone knows what kind of player Miller is and it appears some the JUCO defensive players being recruited are going elsewhere.

Miller is worth two schollies. For every two players you recruit, you do well if one of them pans out. Miller has certainly panned out.

The only reasonable reason I can think of is that Dodge doesn't think he'll qualify for a MRS.

Even if Dodge doesn't think Miller would qualify for a Medical Redshirt (and he might not)......why not leave the option up to Joseph? TD should have presented these options to JM....before the MTSU game:

1) You can play the final two games of your college football career......and thus blow any chance for a MRS or

2) we can hold you out of the final two games, and apply for a MRS. But know this: Your request may be denied by the NCAA.

From what I'm hearing......there is no doubt which of those two options Miller would have chosen.

Joseph was told several weeks after his injury by Dodge that he would not apply for a medical redshirt for JM. As much as JM has given to UNT you would think he would be shown some respect, the medical redshirt applied for and if it was turned down than so be it. In the end, this could be better since JM could have gotten his medical redshirt and ridden the bench next year like a lot of Srs. have done the past 2 years.

Dodge used JM to be his voice and face of the players during the discrimination episode. Now JM is no longer useful to Dodge so it is time for him to go. I hope for nothing but the best for Joseph Miller and all the other young men who have been screwed by Dodge. They have shown the younger players what committment, honor, character and class truly looks like.
