It's still early in the season. When will the power mid-major programs start showing us some respect?!?

Do not accept, pay attention to or in any other way recognize this mid-major poll crap. Either we are a D-1 program or we are not. This is nothing more than a concerted effort to have the "mid-majors" voluntarily accept a lower class designation and continue to create a separation between the haves and the have-nots. Just say no to mid-major!

I don't know...I think it's more that it recognizes programs that aren't typically thought of by the sportswriting elite? The poll helps rather than hurts IMHO.

Amen...it is really amazing mow people buy into this nonsensical "mid-major" categorization. No one has ever identified a "low-major" school which surely must exist if there is a mid-major category. When the "high-major" schools do to basketball what the BCS has done to football, don't come crying! What rubbish.

When the "high-major" schools do to basketball what the BCS has done to football, don't come crying! What rubbish.

Actually, schools in the SWAC and MEAC and acouple of other conferences(that escape me at the moment) are often refered to as Low Majors by sports writers from what I have read.
