It's been a fatal combination of injuries, player incidents and defections, mostly average players on the roster, better opponent coaching and not being able to adjust NT's coaching to any of it. <_<

I don't think you can dismiss Dodge's mistakes with a "perfect storm" analogy. Dodge made some fatal mistakes right out of the gate; clean sweep of the old staff, bringing in a high school staff, too complex of a system. Dodge's judgement is the problem, not the situation surrounding him.

But hey, when I said we should start the new coach discussion a few weeks ago, I was told how insane I was and how it would cost the team too much.

I know I was on your side. Dodge is a joke and UNT football is a joke right now.

Why don't we just bring back Matt Simon? He'll likely work for cheap, and this team just might be more suited to playing games in grocery store parking lots. At least Dodge's JC recruits might enjoy the grocery store access during halftime.
