Bye jumped out to a 45-3 lead at the half but we knuckled down on D in the second half holding Bye to only one more touchdown in a thrilling 52-17 loss. <_<

Unfortunately that was bulletin board material, said Star player Saturday Morning: "We saw what their coach said, and we took it to heart. We let our playing do the talking."

My thought too if I were bye I would have redshirted Sunday.

I dont know, Sunday provides a refreshing change of pace.

We scheduled it on a Sunday because Bye is a religious school and we desperately hoped they wouldn't show on the Sabbath. Maybe we should try that more often.

The BYE caught a last second interception and ran it back for a TD to cover the spread, but the ref erroneously called back the play thus costing Vegas sports bettors some sixty seven cents.

We probably scheduled it on Sunday because Bye's players all go both ways, and we thought they might be too tired to play after their Saturday night activities.
