Green Mean Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 sausageAnd I suppose you would want some.
GreenMachine Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 And I suppose you would want some.Pie for me but if you are propositioning me, I'll take Shiner on our date.
Mean Green 93-98 Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Ok, if that is the way it goes... then the KKK is a christian advocacy group. As long as that is all we are saying. Then I am cool with it. Don't you try to "straw man" me. Internet argument 101, mention the word straw man at some point. I purposely avoided Godwin and went with the Klan references. It was most certainly a straw man. You said, "I find comparing all gays to pedophiles ridiculous," then pointed out why it was ridiculous. I never said all homosexuals were pedophiles, so your argument was a straw man.You make no argument as to why the KKK could likewise be called a Christian advocacy group. They do not advocate Christian tenets. They hold no membership in any major "Christian advocacy association" of which I am aware. How is that comparable to NAMBLA?
Green Mean Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Pie for me but if you are propositioning me, I'll take Shiner on our date.Definitely not a proposition, pie for me too but sausages with sausages/pie with pie is the same thing as sausage with pie in my book.
FirefightnRick Posted November 18, 2008 Author Report Posted November 18, 2008 For my personal view I believe in gay rights to the fullest like everybody else and I hope one day the law for gay marriages will pass. You mean, UN-like everyone else. Gay marraige was voted out by one of the most liberal states in the union by 73% of the voting minorities. If it can't pass there it won't in many other places either.Thank you president-elect Barrack Obama.Rick

In reading your posts on various social and political topics, I can't help but view Rick's America as one that would never have a black president, gays would never have rights, the Christian church would have much more power than it would now, and environmental issues would take a back-seat to any issue that would keep a conservative in power. This is just what I have gathered in reading your responses. I would love to know what progressive or even left tilting opinions you might have. Just curious.
meangreendork Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 73% of the voting minoritiesThat has a lot to do with ethnicity-based homophobia and religious affiliation. Or in short, it's easier to be a homosexual white man than it is to be a homosexual hispanic man. You get less flak from your peers, family, and community that way.
SilverEagle Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Men and boys are both the same sex; hence, "man-boy" sex is homosexuality as well as pedophilia.I never used the term "homosexual support groups." I believe I referred to such groups as homosexual advocacy groups. And yes, NAMBLA is among their number. NAMBLA was the first American member of the International Lesbian and Gay Association, which holds consultative status to the UN.Although they may offend you, facts are facts.IGLA no longer holds consultative status in the UN, and hasn't since 1994.

Bastards!
SilverEagle Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 No, it means that the minority community, specifically the African-American community, is statistically more homophobic than the white community. I haven't seen any statistics about the hispanic community.

GreenMachine Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 There are studies and stats out there but in this case common sense will explain it.easy cop out answer with no basis behind it. Plus I believe I was asking Silver Eagle if that was his opinion that blacks are more homophobic than whites or if he could point me in the direction of his source of info.

Plus I believe I was asking Silver Eagle if that was his opinion that blacks are more homophobic than whites or if he could point me in the direction of his source of info.I could care less who you were or weren't asking. If you aren't willing to use common sense then there is not much to say as it is all a lost cause.

SilverEagle Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 is this your opinion or can you point me in the direction of your source for these statistics? Thankshttp://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/...-in-california/Is CNN reliable enough for you. This is the last part of the article."African-Americans voted for Proposition 8 by a 69 percent to 31 percent margin. However, 55 percent of white voters and 52 percent of Hispanics voted against the proposition."
Green Mean Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Obviously you are the homo expert so I'll take your word on it. Continue on with your sword fighting.Based on the way you are talking I can be an expert on just about anything compared to you.
