Unt Accepting Proposals For Hotel

To the mods.....I think this would qualify as football related....since the hotel would be part of the total package (with the new stadium).

I was told this week by David Broughton, Director of Development, that the hotel is coming down sometime next semester or over the summer.

Out of 60 they only got 6 replies, that doesn't bode well.

I don't think so. They sent the proposal to 60. Getting 6 responses, IMO, is pretty good.

6 responses is probably good in these economic times when many companies are holding off on expansion and building. Is there to be a convention center or space with this project? The article also mentioned sharing parking space with the new stadium; that's the first I've seen of stadium parking in that area. Most was to be at Fouts with a walkover bridge across I-35.

I guess I should have stated that it show the currnet economic, striff, and makes me wonder if there will be problems getting naming rights. My guess is yes
