And the GAFFE MASTER does it again. Charles Krauthammer now thinks Biden is a Republican plant. LOL!!!

“I probably shouldn’t have said all this because it dawned on me that the press is here.”

“Mark my words, it will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here . . . we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

Mr Biden cited Russia and the Middle East as possible places that may cause problems, as well as the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan – “crawling with al-Qaeda” – as being of concern.

.....“He’s gonna need help,”

Yes Senator, that's the problem.

Oh nice, well that's not scary or anything. Why would you say that media there or not?

Just wait...it will be "GAFFE A MINUTE" if this guy makes it to the White House with Mr. Obama. At least the comics will have great material for at least four years! Does the guy ever think before he opens his mouth? Just wondering.

BTW...I don't have too...I am not running for public office. Said that just in case Quoner is out there lurking in the wings somewhere just waiting for an opening line to pounce!

What I found interesting is how this concern doesn't find it's way into the mainstream media as if it never happened, at least not that I have seen. Maybe someone here has seen something else on it. After all, even when the Democrat VP admits by his own words back in March that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAaLEJwkh9c, and then follows that up this week with the statement above which is direct admittance that his running mate is weak on foriegn policy and that a November win for him will bring the U.S. trouble is scary. And it cannot be written off as just another so called scare tactic by the right. It is stated fact and admittance from the left.

I guess if worse comes to worse we can all say we were warned, right?

I've seen it a little bit of it on the news channels today and also (of course) on Sean Hannity this afternoon on WBAP. But ya, if it was Gov. Palin it would be headline news. And like you said Rick, this isn't one of his typical gaffes, he said this clear as day and meant it.

And wouldn't you know after I posted that, CNN's Drew Griffin interviews Palin and asks 'Does Joe Biden get a pass'? And after Governor Palin explains had she been the one that said it the mainstream media would have been all over her....and Griffin agreed, twice.

And it continued this past weekend. Joe doesn't like tough interviews and neither does the Obama campiagn.

sQXcImQfubM

After this interview the Obama campaign canceled an upcoming interview with Biden's wife Jill, and told the TV station no more interviews from now on until after the election.

I just hope Barbara West is ready for the smear campaign that awaits her around the corner, much like the one Joe the Plumber has undergone.

I think Joe Biden handled the questions very well. He actually knows what he is talking about, actually knows who those historical figures are, knows what policies are, and doesn't need to keep blurting scripted talking points. He certainly didn't start babbling incoherently like lj3iNxZ8Dww

Throw a brown wig and glasses on that chick and I couldn't tell the difference.

Biden sounded about on the spot to me...I don't see where he messed up besides sounding a little ticked off at the questions being asked of him. I don't know about calling Obama a socialist when the US is kind of already there with Social Security, an existing tax system, the "you're a resident of Alaska, so here's a pile of money" bonus. We're not suddenly going to be overrun with KGB operatives, and capitalism will still be what runs the US economy the same way it always has. I don't expect to see a T-72 tank rolling down the street with a squad and a half of the Spetsnaz strolling by with AN-94s in hand come February.

--Was he a good family values man???

Speaking of family, when Sarah Palin vacated the mayor's seat in tiny little Wasilla, the two opposing candidates were her cousin and her mother-in-law.

And yet, even this poor lost blonde girl, all of what, 20, 21 years old, had the guts to stand there and attempt to answer the question she knew she was lost on and did so without crying about the question.

And this has what to do with Palin?

And this has what to do with Palin?

They were in a photo together?

I dunno, it'd need to be researched though. I'm guessing (just guessing) that beyond this photo, Palin has strong ties to the guy, learned from him, or was mentored or something by him. That's at best/worst. Again, a huuuuge guess.

Dolphins possibly up for sale.

I'm hearing more and more of this being discussed including some last saturday from some of our corporate donors as they anticipate what lies ahead for them if Obama wins the election. You cannot grow this economy from the ground up. Start taxing the crap out of those who employ us and see who ends up footing the bill?

Rick

That is not correct Rick. The Dolphins are ALREADY up for sale... but is trying to RUSH a purchase to avoid the alleged capital gains tax increase. He isn't selling because of Obama's tax plan. He fears the unknown of tax increases.. but that is all banter, because any tax plan isn't immediate.

I get the feeling JD that you are completely OK with the inevitable tax increases that will follow with an Oboma win.

Not to mention that the PRESIDENT has absolutely NO POWER to raise or lower taxes. I fear a 60-seat Democratic Senate far more than a Barack Obama Presidency.

First, I don't find it inevitable. Second, I don't oppose a progressive tax structure (if done correctly).

The Republican seats that will be lost will still be in very conservative districts. Therefore you get a conservative Democrat rep (though you can hard believe they exist).

And why is it such a given that Democrats want "high" taxes?

Why can't a Democrat believe in fair taxes for infrastructure. How you define infrastructure is where you can argue... but taxes? Why is that such a tipping point?

Joe the plumber would have paid $900 more in taxes *if* that company really made 280k a year in profit. That $900 isn't preventing them from hiring another worker (of the legal variety). That $900 isn't preventing reinvestment. It is all smoke and mirrors and fear mongering. In reality, that company which he said he was "about to buy" only made 100k a year and would have seen less taxes... to "grow and invest" as they saw fit. So put that in your anti-Democrat pipe and smoke it ;)

I think I already know the answer since you believe in "progressive" taxes (what I would call regressive taxes).....Do you believe that persons who pay no income tax whatsoever are entitled to the money collected by the government from other citizens?

Also, I'm not anti-democrat. I am pro-low taxes and pro-strong defense. Right now conservatives most approximate these values. And I'll pass on the pipe, democrat or otherwise :D

Shame on your for your assumption.

If you have never paid taxes and are an adult, then no, you aren't "entitled" to money.

It is a catch-22 though. If you are a child, and haven't had a chance to pay taxes or be a meaningful part of the profit making tax hating society, then I think you are "entitled" to welfare. Health, education, etc... I know, in the process you can be creating baby factories that collect checks because they have kids. But what is worse? Being a nation like Ethiopia that lets poverty born children just starve to death isn't in our best interest either. Nor is having a population of people who maybe innocently enough can't work (like a head amputation from an minimum wage job that didn't have health insurance). So what is the answer? Take the children away and raise them? Kill all the poor?

Hypothetical question. Family KNOWS that having a child after the age of 35 (in women) dramatically increase the rate of birth defects and learning disabilities. However, family continues to procreate and they have a downs baby.. Should our tax dollars really go to help that family with raising that child? When they knew full well of the risks and they rolled the dice, only to come up with snake eyes?

You are correct. Shame on me. My assumption was wrong... You know what they say... When someone assumes they make an ASS-out-of-U-and-ME.
