Dang this board is tough.....think Nautique could have probably used a little smoother touch, but it seems like he was really just asking a question as to what has put DM on the bench (and now 3rd string). It is hard to get a feel for it from the board b/c different people have different sources... and I'm not saying that one is right and the others are wrong.

I guess I always thought that Dodge just made a concious effort to build from the ground up and take his lumps with the freshman QB. Unfortunately, it seems that most of the team sees it this same way and feels that the coaching staff gave up on the upper-classmen. So that decision appears to have backfired on him. Given our current record, I am not sure why more of the seniors aren't playing, though....sometimes guys need to learn by watching a few games and it sure seems like it would go a long ways to helping team chemistry at this point.

Good observation. Coaching staff gives up on the upperclassmen who have experience and leadership. Younger players give up on coaching staff because they are busy looking over their shoulders wondering when the coaching staff will give up on them. Also asking themselves is this what is going to happen to me when I become an upperclassmen?
