Talking About Formations From The Spread...

We know Mizzou uses the heck out of the TE... and though we've heard how Mike Leach runs the shotgun even in goal line situations (like Dodge) and our spread is similiar to Tech's (minus all the sideline-staring), on the second play of the game AT Kansas (on KU's homecoming, packed, rowdy crowd) Leach ran a play-action fake from UNDER CENTER and Harrell hit a 50-yd TD, wide open on a simple post.

When will we diversify? Is ANYONE else as one-dimensional formationally as we are?

We definitely need to add a te to the formation, and go under center at least when inside the five or short yardage situations. We lose five yards automatically. If we are sticking with the spread we really need to get the ball off within :15 seconds to keep the d off balance. All this popping up needs to stop. Call a play, then have an audible ready. I don't have an answer for the our d. We just seem to lack speed, and the tackling needs to get a whole lot better. IMO.
