Fun Run

8:00 a.m. Contact (940) 565-2275.

I called about this and it is 2.5 miles and they said that UNT students and members of the rec center can run.

Can Alumni participate? They should allow us - they also could make a couple of dollars during homecoming by charging a 20.00 fee or something...

The should open it up to any and all. Charge more for non-students/faculty/staff/alumni and include in their entry fee a couple of endzone tickets.

They should totally capitalize on this. This is the first time I have heard of it. Were there alot of people who participtaed?

That is sad considering the Fun Run has been part of Homecoming weekend since I was at NT in the 80's.

      Morris needs to own the Caponi hire

      Just win. Yes, win with class, but win. Figure out a way to get this team to 8 wins or better, win a bowl game, and I won't care if your granny is our DC.

      Morris needs to own the Caponi hire

      Morris listened to Caponi in the 2023 off season when I presume Caponi said he could rebuild the defense to fit the system. I have a few things I would like to point out. 1) First, Morris not firing Caponi after season 1 is low risk. Caponi is on a 2 year contract and if it doesn't work out, reload in 2025 with a new coordinator. You don't disrupt the pipeline of players coming in recruit and transfer portal wise, and you try to make it work. I don't fault Morris for this decision. 2) Firing Caponi after last season could do a couple of things. It would make any potential DC leery of taking the spot if they think they won't get a couple of seasons to try to turn things around. As HC, Morris needed to afford a second season to Caponi. 3) Firing him midseason will not help the morale of the locker room 4) We're in our third non-conference game going into our fourth 2-1. If there is any time to try to figure stuff out it is now, prior to conference play. I want to see how this defense does in conference play. I am not defending the horrible defensive performances over the past season and a quarter. We have to consider all angles of this and it is still very early in the season.

      Oregon State AD: Pac-12 will look to add new schools quickly

      The new PAC won't be treated like a power conference but it will unquestionably be the dominant G5 conference in both football and basketball. We'll see what kind of pitch they're able to make to Memphis/Tulane but if they are able to lure them out of the AAC it will be an absolute war between any of the remaining viable options for PAC expansion.

      USA Today Re-Rank

      USA Today has moved us from a rank of 100 to 97. Maybe, if we had lost by a larger margin , we might have climbed even higher.
