SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A judge has sentenced disgraced track coach Trevor Graham to one year of home confinement for lying to federal sports doping investigators.

Graham once coached Marion Jones, Tim Montgomery and several other elite athletes who later were banned for taking performance-enhancing drugs.

Graham's sentence is the second such no-prison term the judge has handed down in less than a month in connection with the Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative steroids scandal. Former elite bicyclist Tammy Thomas received a sentence of six months of home detention for lying to a grand jury about her steroid use.

Slugger Barry Bonds is slated to stand trial in March on similar charges.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - In this live-and-let-live town, where medical marijuana clubs do business next to grocery stores and an annual fair celebrates sadomasochism, prostitutes could soon walk the streets without fear of arrest. San Francisco would become the first major U.S. city to decriminalize prostitution if voters next month approve Proposition K—a measure that forbids local authorities from investigating, arresting or prosecuting anyone for selling sex.

      Contracts could be for one+ year(s). Employee status would bring tax questions into play. FICA and income taxes would be due .

      Do we still only play 7-8? 😝 This is what I have. This was tough. We’ve had some pretty great players. Lorient is more potential that straight up production.       Big dumb question.

      Why put players under contract when in the current form, you can just dispose of those who aren't performing every season? Scholarships are currently renewed on a yearly basis. Putting players under contract would mean you'd be looking at deals worth 2+ years. What happens when a guy just isn't working out but you're on the hook for another year so the scholarship can't be used for somebody else? I know you could say with "NIL," you could just give enough to cover tuition and some extra but I doubt the boosters would want to pay that much for an unknown player just because a scholarship is used up on another bad player. Reality is, coaches hate when players leave after a great season but those same coaches are quick to push guys into the portal if they're not working out. I'd be all for contracts at our level, though. Contracts mean you can include buyouts so if you really hit on a prospect, I'd love for UNT and our NIL to get some money back for developing a good player.
