I encourage everyone to vote.....I voted Monday, the first day of early voting.....

I am not here to explain the "+" and "-" about the candidates....becuz that has been done a zillion times over the last 24+ months...more or less.

All I ask everyone to do is:

First, ...... write down "specifically" what YOU believe the govt. should do to represent YOU in YOUR best interests if it be:

a) immigration

() balanced budgets

c) abortion

d) military

e) social services

f) national security

g) fairness doctrine

h) gun rights

i) IRS or other forms of taxation

j) whatever else is out there....YOU decide!

Second... go on the "net" to each of the "THREE" (Republican, Democrat & Libertarian) websites and determine if their platform is what you believe.

Thirdly... go vote as an INFORMED voter.

Lastly....this is not a paid political announcement.....all "ANYONE" request of you is to be informed and not base your vote because of some good feeling you have about one of the three candidates without knowing the issues. Heck, my sister still pickes the candidates based on looks....Kerry, Gore, Clinton. I suggest none of you base your votes on physical looks alone.

Great post EulessEagle...I intend to vote today. You hit on the issue I have with most elections...including the recent stadium vote...UNINFORMED VOTERS! I care not whom you vote for or what position you take on the issues...I just want you to have some solid REASON for voting the way you do. I am saddened by all the mis-information that is "out there" regarding both major candidates...but saddened even more so by all the folks who believe the misinformation because they simply are too lazy to think for themselves and to become informed voters.

SAD...and this election seems to have more of them heading for the polls than ever before...uninformed voters I mean....Sad, but it is the system we have created...not the one our fore fathers designed, but the one "we" have created.

ANYWAY....become informed and then go vote!

GO BLESS AMERICA!!!! The greatest nation the world has ever witnessed!

Fixed that for you.

The abortion debate cracks me up. I almost talked a bunch of "pro" and "anti" people a few years ago into wearing "expand Casey" and "reverse Casey" pins instead of the Roe buttons they usually wear. Most people still think Roe v. Wade is in force just as it was in 1974. PP v Casey amended the jurisprudential basis of abortion rights in 1991. Comes out pretty much the same way in practice but with different legal reasoning.

I barely care anymore. Politicians use it as a hot-button issue to keep their voters lined up like little soldiers, and then neither side really tries for much on the abortion issue - even those who claim it's their "biggest priority". It's like McCain and Obama saying what changes they will make to the economy, and suddenly all of America forgets that they need Congress to pass it before it would change one iota. They're using conceptual "what if" bases to get you to choose sides, even though most of the "what ifs" aren't likely to ever take place, at least in the format they propose.

Please present a logical argument in favor of killing babies prior to exiting the womb versus waiting until they reach the age of 5 or so, and see how they are actually coming along, and then killing them.
