I was wondering what it takes to get an invite to a better conference in NCAA09? I am currently in my third season of my dynasty. I am ranked 7 with NT and finished #2 in my first season and won the national title last season. Fitz won the Heisman my first season and the receiver I recruited to replace him won it last year. I have had 4 or 5 All-Americans after both of the first two seasons and I have never lost a game in 2+ seasons. I have NT up to a 4-star program. What did you guys do before you got an invite to a better conference? Should I expect one after I win the NC again this season? I don't know what else I can do. Let me know, because I would like to get into the Big XII and don't know what to do to get there. Thanks!!

BTW, I don't play this game for realism. I see enough realism at Fouts on Saturdays. I play it for fun. :)

I don't think there is a guaranteed way to get invited into a better conference. I got invited into the WAC after my first season and declined and since then I have had 3 undefeated seasons, being ranked as high as number 2 in the final polls with heisman winners and many all americans, having top ten recruiting classes and getting North Texas up to a 6 star program. After 4 total seasons and having only lost 1 game which was to LSU in the first season, the WAC invite has been the only one I have gotten, but at the same time I'm sure there are other people who have gotten an invite into a better conference than the WAC in less time so I don't think there is an exact way of getting into a better conference. Just keep scheduling top 25 teams for your non-conference games and win every game, thats all you can really do.

I remember reading an FAQ in 2007 or 2008 where your OOC games help determine what conference you'll next go in to. So if you play all 4 OOC games vs the CUSA and stomp them all, they should give you an invite. I tried that with my first season of NCAA09 and got into the WAC. I'm planning to OOC into something like the Mountain West or CUSA since the WAC is getting boring, and because I hate looking at Boise State's field.

I don't think that there is a set way to do this. Something that may work is to pick a bad team in the conference you want, and help make them worse. The worst team in the conference usually swicthes places with you. In a past version of the game, I was able to replace Iowa State in the Big 12.
