Not sure why you'd laugh at that gesture for such a deserving cause.

I completely agree with you Smitty!

This cause is not something that should be laughed at... kudos to NMSU for their efforts.

This would look rather good at Fouts one evening:

Can we not laugh at the pink ribbons on a Football helmet and support the cause at the same time?

I fully support the cause and yet I find the humor in it on the field!

Or are we just that uptight as a society?

I support the SGK Foundation, as a runner and contributor (I didn't go today because I am a little late getting started on running season).

At the same time, I too find it odd that we put pink ribbons on football fields and helmets, with football being such a macho, testosterone-charged sport.

I wonder... Can we expect prostate cancer ribbons on WNBA uniforms?

I wonder if we can expect a fraction of the research money for prostate cancer. Short answer to your question. No. Men are evil.

Of course we can laugh. I just don't think laughing at the gesture should be the only reaction. And I know that's not what he was saying, but it is what was posted. And it was just a slip and I know he didn't mean it, as shown by his apology. That's cool.

Now what really would be funny would be seeing a pink ribbon on the chest of Bill Parcells.
