Damn, so relieved this is done. Must say, it wasn't that close, but for the other guys to get 2,000 votes...well, that surprises me they pulled together that much support in such a short time. That facebook page looked like a wasteland for a long time.

is it wrong that i'm actually going to miss fouts????? i know it's a crappy place for football, but it was my first college stadium i was ever in. there's just something about that place...

of course, i can't wait for the new one, but i'll miss good ole fouts!!!!

UNT still will have among the lowest student athletic fees in the Sun Belt Conference and in Texas, even smaller than Texas State’s, a Football Championship Division (I-AA) school that is increasing its fee from $10 per hour to $20 over the next five years.

I know the fee passed and we beyond this, but this fact should have (and still should) been trumpeted to anyone/everyone that would listen.

Texas State is already $12 per credit hour. They will be at $20 per credit hour the year after North Texas finally raises it's athletics fee from $3 per credit hour to $10.

I don't want to discount the importance of this week's victory, but it's only the first of many necessary steps.

Will the new renderings of the stadium have the pond? I think that would be a hell of a look for the new stadium. I remember reading that they may take it out due to costs.

I don't think the pond will be there.

      UTSA Game Poll

      UTSA is 4-0 at home and 0-5 away for 4-5 overall. NT is 3-2 at home and 2-2 away for 5-4 overall. They haven't gone thru the 3 game gauntlet NT has. Homer says we'll win by 14.

      Around the League / UNT Opponents

      figure one main thread to keep track of how our opponents are faring. the AAC is off to a pretty strong start...overall record of 29-7. plus currently Oregon State, High Point and Utah State / St. Bonaventure are all 3-0 - Memphis (2-0) with two quality wins v. Mizzou and UNLV. they should be undefeated (though San Francisco isn't a gimmie) heading into a 11/25 game with UCONN. - UAB (2-1)...I thought their loss to Vermont wouldn't look too bad, but UV has two pretty ugly losses now. really intriguing game tomorrow 11/15 v. High Point - FAU (2-1) look tough...their loss was by 6 to UCF who already beat then 13th A&M. - the other undefeated teams, ECU (3-0), Temple (3-0), Tulane (3-0), Tulsa (3-0), Wichita St. (2-0) collectively really haven't played much of a schedule...best win is probably WSU over WKU...but they've made pretty light work of what's in front of them. Games of interest over the next week or so: 11/14 - Northern Iowa @ Wichita State 11/15 - UAB @ HighPoint ; Temple @ Boston College ; FAU v. Charlston and Liberty (11/16) 11/21 - Memphis @ San Francisco ; FAU v. Oklahoma State (3 day tourney...would play Miami or Drake next)

      Sure but how good is Charlotte? They beat Richmond who lost to Marist. Utah State's other D1 win is against 0-3 Alcorn State who lost to an NAIA school. Again too early to really tell either way.
