The proposal will either PASS or FAIL:

1. If it is FAIL, let's not attack the NO voters and resort to name calling and mudslinging.

2. If it is PASS, let's not rub it in their faces. Let's show some class and rise above any pettiness. We are better than that. What we need to do is get down to the business of building this stadium.

If it is a no vote, I'm lighting a torch and grabbing my pitchfork to storm the admin building. Who's coming with me?

If it is a yes vote, I will proceed to fry street and sincelesly bash one of those hippies on the corner until he bleeds green.

But that's just me.

Let me know when you're going to fry so I can go.

I totally agree on both points. Instead of making enemies of the "No" voters, we need to educate them as to the need for an athletic fee.

You never know, we might need their votes again soon.

You bet. Let's also put some plans in place to encourage them to come out to the games and see where the money will be going. We could have hippie races at half time to win free text books or something like that. Maybe get their help in constructing hemp seat backs for our GREEN stadium. Nothing against hippies. I was around during the 60's. (barely)

I didn't make it to Denton till the early 70's, but that period was when I first encountered a new cultural phenomenon, people making other uses of hemp, while watching football on television. Honestly, I've wondered about why some on this forum carried on so long about a football player they called "Hair". They make me wonder if some of the standout football players we have at Euless Trinity (I guess long hair is considered ok in our minority communities, at least) would consider the UNT alumni to be living in some mythic past that never was all that good for us, except when we were the first college forced to integrate.
