Mean Green Women's Basketball - Picked 3rd In West

I don't think this was posted before... sorry if it was.

"Forward Amber Jackson and guard Brittney James were named Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference, and the North Texas women’s basketball team was picked to finish third in the West Division. The teams were announced at the league's annual media days." Jackson was first team, while James was second team. Full story is here.

I am actually pretty excited about women's basketball this season. New coaches, new players.... should be fun. I know I hope to make several home games, especially the double headers.

What I've really liked about Coach Stephens is her enthusiasm. We'll see how she is at X's and O's, but I can see why she was thought of as a top notch recruiter.

I have my fingers crossed that this season will be a turning point in women's BB at UNT. I am anxious to see the team under Coach Stephens. And, I haven't been "anxious" to see a women's BB game at UNT in quite a few years. Should be fun! I wish the women all the best. Let's make it fun and let's get after 'em!
