Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the governor appoint the Board of Directors

for Public Universities in Texas. If that is the case and this vote fails we should consider flooding the

governors office with requests to replace our do nothing BOD.

You can only do that in cases of malfeasance, gross incompetence, etc. From a governmental standpoint this is a case of differing opinions about the direction of the school's athletics program, facilities, and funding. If you want to replace the BOR you'll have to find a lot of dirt like all the other political action groups do.

Even if you get the ones there out, there's no guarantee the next would be better, because the stipulation of being pro-stadium at UNT isn't on Perry's hot list.

The Board, admin, etc. are much more pro-spirit and athletics than we've had in the past, so I'd highly recommend not attacking them, when considering the alternative is what we had 10+ years ago.

The future of UNT has been handed to students, some who have been on campus less than a semester, and with no leadership or guidance to even speak out what they (the administration) think is best for this university.

Dr. B is going to have some explaining to do if the vote fails. Where did all her "support" go once it came down to nut-cutting time?! RV was the only voice that spoke publicly in favor of this vote...unless I missed something. Why could the President not get involved?

...Or is she involved behind the scenes somehow??

Everyone have faith. We all know that cheating is a sign of desperation. This stuff about rounding up people to vote in Wooten and approaching people to vote with your cell, is all a sign of desperation. All of their activities should be reported yes, but I think we are going to be ok.

I ahve been told one way in which the opposition is voting is the use of iphones or other internet enabled cellphones. They just find someone who will support their evil cause, and get them to sign in to their phone and vote.

So students - use your phone, bookmark the page, and go get 'em. Wonder if a young college girl would be effective in getting a few votes?
