I can't even begin to address the special teams and defense. I just don't understand what is happening. The schemes, the situational players based on down and distance is confusing, moving our best DE to tackle is confusing, I am at a lost for words about Deloach and his staff. I know Deloach has skins on the wall but it has not resulted in much this season. Say what you want but we don't bend on defense, we implode.

On offense, Dodge is scheme is very basic. We use very little crossing routes, very little double moves by WR's, and never use one or two TE formations to balance the blitz schemes and give us a chance to throw the deep ball using double moves and long crossing routes. Running game has improved so that is a positive.

What is the deal with the WR play and the WR recruting and the retaining of WR's?. Casey is Casey, good possession receiver and a good threat to make plays after the catch. Casey is a very solid WR and gives it his all.

I won't mention names but our so called WR of the future is years away at his current level of play. Yeah being tall and athletic is great but their is a lot more too it than that. How about route running ability, how about toughness after the catch and the ability to make plays. We recruited all these WR's, and our best option is to put a kid in the slot that played QB in HS? WR coach overestimated on many of these WR recruits. UNT should have gone after some JUCO WR's that can run and want to make plays after the catch who are not affraid to take some shots. Does anyone know how the WR core feel about Clayton George? (It is not pretty). UNT took way too many HS projects from some small schools that will take years to develop. It is so obvious that we have no one that can run like the ULL WR's or the FIU WR's, zero.

What happened to Evan Walker, what happend to Dibrell, and the list goes on? I see a trend with the WR's, a trend that is not positive on the position coach.

We have way too many WR's who can't play and now Riley is going to redshirt, so getting him more college experience in the slot, is over. Not sure about his durability anyways. Now that Dibrell is gone, who else does Dodge call on to make big plays or make possession catches?

I think Brock is one, he just needs to gain his confidence back that the WR coach jacked with. We have two non scholarship players starting, Lott and Rod. Now how many D-1 programs can say that?

If you watch Missou, Tech, and others who throw it around the field, they always have wide open WR's, is it scheme or is it speed? Harrell plays pitch and catch, rarely takes a hit and just has great route runners with good schemes. Dodge has given some defenses some occasional new looks but the playbook must broaden next season.

Let's face it, we do not have a lot of weapons that are game breakers. Partly by scheme and partly by lack of WR play.

Vizza, Riley and Tune or whoever, need some help and just about every throw has to be on the money with DB's draping all over our WR's. We do not have one WR who can run by the speed of the safeties regardless of what team we play. (unless it's our own secondary)

Everyone jokes about all the WR's we have, problem is that which one's can really play at this level? Riley moving to the slot answered that (and he hasn't played WR in two seasons) so what does that tell you about the talent evaluation?

What about the JUCO's? Who evaluated those dudes? or should I say overevaluated? Not one JUCO has made one difference in the quality of our season.

I want it to be known that I am knocking the STAFF and not the players. The players are doing their best. Dodge needs to change answer the bell and make some further coaching staff changes. Dodge needs to take responsibility for his special teams, his defense, and his staff. Coach Dodge has never been out coached yet, right?

Why doesn't Rose and Bailey play, what about Drake? Is Dodge saving everyone for next season so his son can be the winning "magic.?" WTF?

Hey Deloach, pull your head out and play Gilmore at DE. Maybe Gilmore would have stayed home and trailed the play on that 90 yard reverse. Where's the discipline and technique? We are shuffling more damn players than the law allows and still can't make any stops. We scored 30 points, if not for a fumble and a drop TD we would have scored more BUT we still would have got our ass kicked.

I feel for many of the players, they deserve so much more success. I appreciate those playing their ass off in defeat. How can you not enjoy a undersized OL man like Gill just playing his ass off? How can you not enjoy Craig and Tobe busting their ass? How about JJ Johnson? There are others who are flying around and sacrificing their bodies and playing extremely hard. I salute those friends of mine and all the others who give it all they have.

Nice to have the cliff notes of the last 3 months.

And all things considered, I trust Deloach more than anyone on this staff. To put the blame on him for bad performances is understandable, but there has to be more going on that we don't know about.

Larry Dennit, Jr: "What did you-- What did you say? What was that?"

Ricky: "Well, what? I said 'With all due respect.'"

Larry Dennit, Jr: "That doesn't mean you get to say whatever you want to say to me."

Ricky: "I sure as heck does."

Larry Dennit, Jr: "No, no, it doesn't mean that."

Ricky: "It's in the Geneva Convention. Look it up."

DeLoach knew what he was in for. Special teams will be addressed soon.
