Thought this was an interesting comment and point I read off a comment from the NT Daily:

I graduated from Irvine some 14 years ago. I am in touch with two...count 'em...two classmates now. I still get to baseball games when I can, but I don't know anyone at the games. I'm not involved with any aspect of the university whatsoever. Irvine is the poster child for commuter schools with an apathetic student body. If this is what the anti-stadium crowd aspires to be, then I cannot be angry at them. I cannot loathe them. I can only pity them and the isolated experiences they'll have in adulthood.
