The lady who did the story on WBAP said she only saw one sign and she says she walked through campus, whatever that means.

She told me she saw one and said it was hard to read. I was in the Gateway today so not really in thee middle of campus but I didn't see any.

How long does the Polls stay open?

Did not see a sign but everyone I talked to about the stadium said they voted yes. Mind you I didn't talk to too many people on campus today.

Signs on campus can only be placed between the Union and the Business building.

Other signs have been placed around the periphery of the campus boundaries to maximize exposure to students.

Bend, but don't break.

My impression from weeks of listening and talking is that if every student was forced to vote, we'd lose... yet the YES group is clearly more organized, the vote is MUCH more under the radar than it was last time (was also on campus then), and general apathy and lack of information will do us good.

That being said, i'd be willing to bet that we have a relatively fat lead today, the biggest we'll ever have. The longer the polls stay open, the better for the NO side. All the YES folks excitedly voted today... the NOs have all week to hear about this and play catch up... I think we're playing four corners now... let's run the ball.

Absolutely true ! Time is not on our side in this respect.

Today is the first class of the week for me and I have not heard too much conversation about it, except when I have initiated it. I talked to my workout buddy who is a freshman, and he said that his freshman government teacher is giving out extra credit to everyone who votes on this thing. He also said that the teacher did not try to persuade the students to vote one way or the other. None of my teachers have mentioned the vote, but I wonder how many of them are doing something similar, especially in the government department.

One way of encouraging those who may be sitting on the fence on this referendum is to encourage them to vote "FOR" the referendum, thus voting "FOR" an increase in student parking. We cannot increase parking or start construction of a badly needed parking garage until we move Fouts. Get it rebuilt and the old one torn down and whamo!, lots of room for more parking.

The only bad thing, is that I am pretty sure that the parking garage planned for the spot Fouts occupies now isn't the first garage on the list to be built. I believe the first one they want to get built is going to be up near the EESAT Building, if I am not mistaken. Although... nobody would even know the difference because anyone voting today won't be here to actually enjoy a new parking garage when it gets built anyway.
