Lady Eagles in SBC play

Coming up very soon are top level SBC teams in Denver and FIU at home. If the Lady Eagles can split or God help us - sweep these two games, they will be right in it all year. If they lose both this will clearly be a rebuilding and learning season.

I know that nobody is pointing fingers at Slinker yet, and they shouldn't. Let her teach this team this year, bring in another class, and they will be back at the top.

I was wondering what you all think they should work on?

I say press breaking and shooting need the most attention. The defense and hustle are good so far, but they can't hit the broadside of a barn and defensive pressure really gets to them and the freshmen point guards.

I thought from the beginning that this was a rebuilding and retooling year. Winning those first three and getting our hopes up is starting to hurt.

By the way, I would pay money to see LSU and UConn play.

If we can get a split, we might be just fine. The squad is young...and can't shoot it appears, but I don't think they're that far from competing. Especially since we're in league play now.
