When do the official results come out? Will it be the following Monday?

The official results will be announced Saturday afternoon... although some people will know Friday at about 5:15 pm.

Here's how you tell us: Take a picture of a plate. If it has your mean green hats on it, we know we have lost. If the plate is empty, it's party time. (that was you, right?)

This election the student body will be presented with quite possibly the most important vote in the university's history. It is crucial that students take the time to study the issue and make an informed decision about this monumental vote. For the referendum to be passed a simple majority must agree to the proposal. Results cannot be announced until 24 hours after polling closes on Friday October 17 at 5 PM. The following is the official referendum that will be on the election ballot:

"In order for the University of North Texas to have a better Athletic program, which in turn can lead to national exposure and increased recognition of UNT; I agree to a dedicated Athletic Fee not to exceed $10 per semester credit hour, capped at 15 hours. Once the Athletic Fee is implemented, the Student Service Fee will be reduced by $3 per semester credit hour. The Athletic Fee shall not be implemented until the semester the new football stadium is complete, which is expected to be fall 2011."
