The warthogs over there in MONroe didn't know what hit 'em last night!! Unlike those guys, I happen to have met a few of you over the last few years (especially during your NO Bowl run), and I consider y'all friends, so it pains me to see you guys struggling. At the same time, we do have a game this week, and I'm looking forward to an exciting contest, injury-free of course!!! Unfortunately, between a couple of suspensions and a couple of key losses on defense, the CAJUNS will be looking for some young players to step up. And even though he had a pretty good night (172 yds. passing, 149 yds. running) QB Michael Desormaux is nursing a hip pointer and a broken nose from the K-State game last week, and I'm pretty sure he's feeling it big-time. Then there's Tyrell Fenroy. He and Des are carrying the team on their shoulders and we're loving every second of it!!!

HOWEVER, this team's been prone to turnovers and penalties that have either kept opponents in the game (like last night!), or GIVEN them the game outright (like K-STATE).

Now that I've told you about this year's CAJUNS, maybe you'd like to share about the MEAN GREEN.

Ummmm, let's see. Does your QB know how to pass to wide open WR's?

Hmmm, we gave up 3 or 4 (I lost count) passing TD's to a team that in their first four games only had one passing TD.

Hey, as long as you can keep a smile on your face and still support your team!! Believe me, we've had to do the same for a long time until recently!!!

Didn't Jake Delhomme come from ULL after a 2-10 season?

Maybe, just maybe, if we're back UP to 2 wins in 2-3 years, Vizza or Rodge could see some action.

From the Red Zone message board:

I worry that Denton could be a trap game.
I'm with ya. This one will scare me all week.
Having said that, I expect a tough game. With UNT struggling this past Saturday, they are likely to play much better this week. Odds are they won't lay an egg two weeks in a row.

Wait...Let me take a sip of my green kool-aid and see if these statements sound any less absurd....

Is Desormaux expected to play?

I don't know for sure, but I suggested to some firends of mine that Bustle might want to rest him this week because, from what I've heard, he's really beat up. Brad Maguire, our #2 red-shirt frosh QB, looked good in the one sreies he got to play against K-State. Thing is, Des is the type who'll keep playing as long as his legs still work and he remains conscious!!

Our White team beat our Green team in the final spring scrimmage game in April. And that's all I have to say about that.

--Does that mean we won a game this year.????
