Nope. He just teaches summer courses at FAU and got confused.

I thought he was speaking metaphorically... Trying to indicate that the Panthers are the Owls, and like Rice they will beat the hell out of us on a shameful scale never before witnessed by North Texas fans. I guess I misread it.
