I'm looking forward to this just for something different. I say the team wears throwback vintage jerseys and we all come dressed in 60's attire (someone will have to fill me in one what they wore back then...two decades before my time)

Great idea, but I don't know how "enthused" the current players will be about wearing a "John Stockton style" uniform.

1960-64 you dresses Ivy League (that was then name of the casual slacks), button down shirts and shoes (not tennis shoes?. Much classier than today's jeans, x-rated tshirt and baseball cap on backwards. We were into the game making lots of noise and not texting. :smile

That is a stretch. I did not look this up, but from what I can remember we only had 3 crowds over 5,000 last year, which would be half of the pit. Most of them were around 3500, which would it nearly 2/3 empty...but it WAS 3/2 rowdy...

you are right, for some reason I was thinking the pit only held 7,000.. Don't ask me where that came from

Or when one could play basketball without any tattoos.

Or when Twin Peaks waitresses didn't all have lower back tattoos.... On second thought, I guess that has never been the case. Not a problem either really... Wait, what was the question?

what a venue when full and playing Cincy, Louiville, Drake, Wichita State, etc. with Little Joe and Whitiker upseting the best in America. Standing and stomping on those wooden pullout bleachers as the press ran up some huge leads to begin games. The noise level created the atmosphere for pressing and the snake pit name.
