Soccer Loses

To top off a perfect NT athletic weekend, soccer team loses to ULM 2-3.

I want a reset of this weekend.

At least Cross country did ok. Strong ran a good race.

But yeah, what a lousy NT weekend.

Strong had a good race. But the men were 4th in a field of 5 and the women last in a meet including a couple of junior colleges, Tarleton State and UTA,

Yep, tough loss...team is a bit yound and still trying to get all the pieces in place...all is not lost...wins will follow!

not trying to pick a fight, but why does it seem UNT is the only team in every sport that seems to always be young year after year, when it comes to disappointing losses.

Yes, you are.......Have you checked the UNT soccer roster? I don't think folks called the team young last season when they lost. Or, were you watching then?

Part of the problem in the "minor" sports such as soccer is the lack of full scholarships....when a big deal is a 25% scholarship...and some get such big time assistance as "books", it is easy to see why there may be some "non-returnees" to the team each season. College sports are hard...let's be real about that. The players work very hard and for long hours and then have all the academics, etc., etc. that every other student has to handle. This is much more "true" in the lesser sports than in basketball and football by the way.

The team is young, so we can expect some losses, but I think the season will be another strong one for UNT Soccer. GO LADIES!!!! GO MEAN GREEN SOCCER!
