ULL closed to within 5 point of K State at the 8 minute mark of the 4th quarter but couldn't close the deal. 45-37 K State. ULL finished with 504 total yards.

wKY lost to Kentucky 41-3.

Ark State lost to Memphis 29-17. The nations 5th ranked passing defense gives up 210 yards of passing. Their 11th ranked overall defense gave up a total of 453 yards.

Troy loses 55-24 to Ok State. Troy gives up 615 total yards.

FIU beat Toledo 35-16. No stats listed yet on ESPN.

One week earlier, Toledo took #25 Fresno State to overtime before finally losing 55-54.

FIU appears to be much stronger than anticipated.

Beat me to it. Although Toledo lost to Arizona 41-16 to start the year they came right back and won a conference game against Eastern Michigan prior to their overtime shootout loss to Fresno State.

Somehow FIU only gained 239 total yards on Toledo, and gave up 302 to the Rockets yet still managed to win easily on Toledo's own field. FIU's rushing game gained 141 yards. FIU was down 13-0 in this game after the 1st quarter then racked off 5 TD's and only giving up a field goal the next two quarters.

FIU is playing some solid football now. This weeks game is going to be a tough one for us.

      PAC is back

      I grew up with "Eagles" and have never liked " Mean Green ", because we are not mean [look at our football record ] and not green [ we have an underfunded athletic department.] I agree with lack of media contracts as a deal breaker but don't know if we would want the travel required for all sports anyway. The BIG MOUNTAIN WEST podcast brought the subject up stating that the PAC and Texas State were in serious discussions and if they came then UNT or UTSA would be their next logical target so you may want to watch it. I don't have an opinion as I am really surprised that NIU joined the MWC for football only. According to the MAC bylaws you must have all your programs in the conference in order to be a member. Unless they change them then NIL's best option appears to be the MVC for all other sports but who knows.

      Nice Article: Maintaining Success

      as a lot of big time coaches have said... if you want to immediately improve your team, getting everyone's effort levels up will do that... Since McCasland started his run, the Mean Green have been all about effort, and Hodge has done an excellent job of transitioning into the HC role. It's been talked about ad nauseum, but the Mean Green have an identity. The identity is f*ck you, you aren't going to get easy passes, be able to breathe with the ball in your hands and you're going to be complaining to the refs all game about how physical the team is. It's going to be ugly, and we are betting that we are going to be better than you in the last five minutes of the game. Credit to Hodge for bringing in the right players to keep this thing moving forward. I am looking forward to the rest of the season and hoping for some hardware

      SMU 's New Facility

      the facilities look great. Unfortunately, unless things change around Denton quickly, the reality is that SMU is playing a completely different game than the Mean Green, good luck to you, but i don't know why you are coming on here to post topics of a team you probably won't play again for a long time... (maybe basketball) Good luck to you.
