I think it's okay to be upset. Things haven't gone our way much at all defensively or on ST, compounded by another head-scratcher on offense. But I do want to say I think many of you were not giving this Owls squad enough credit.

Having watched the Owls for many years, this is the best team they have had in the last ~14 years since they were co-champs in the last year of the old SWC. They are better than the team that finally went to Bowl game in 2006. Unfortunate how they played the last two quarters against Vandy and last 3 quarters against UT. They are better than they showed in those two games but ultimately the national stage will judge them more on those BCS games rather than the remainder of the schedule. Some of us Old Timers remember that Rice has never beaten UNT in football and do remember the disaster in 88. Hope UNT fans show-up. Will likely be a sparse crowd.

I'm never leaving, and I imagine he'll be back--but I don't blame fans for making rash statements at this time. That was terrible, and the fact that it was available on every television in the Metroplex makes it all the worse.

If UNT loses at home next week to FIU, then that is it; UNT will lose out (0-12).

Bitch and moan with the rest of us - tonight it is all justified. But be there next week. Not to support Dodge or the team, but to support this program which is in more dire need of butts in the seats than anytime I can remember.

All of us need to be there, because it will be hard to get the non-die hards to the stadium next week against FIU after this for sure. We might not get 15k next week.
