Fitzgerald Story On Channel 8

Did anybody else see the story on Fitzgerald on News 8 at 6. Great story about what he has accomplished at North Texas. Mentioned what a hard worker he is, the relationship with his mother, and Coach Dodge saying he is an example of the type of player he wants at UNT. Both Coach Dodge and Casey were featured making comments.

Speaking of his work ethic, it mentioned that he still works part time at Whataburger at Malone and University. He was doing this because he was a walk on, so had to work to make ends meet. He has not stopped. That is truly amazing.

That said, makes me think if we are going to be like the big boys, we need to pay our players better.

I was watching the story with a couple of people from work and they just totally ripped on Casey, the football team, and the school as a whole. I didn't agree with them but I kept my mouth shut.
