I thought it interesting that Norm picked UNT over Rice this saturday.

Where did his producer go to school (freido)?, Is he an SMU'er? He hates NT, "saying they haven't scored all year, how do they expect to win." While it may be true, he didn't seem to remember who we've played, and is always making snide comments. I don't really care I am just curious if anyone knows.

Who cares...last I was in Dallas, Norm's ticker guy was a North Texas guy, through and through*. That's all that matters, ain't that right GGB? :D

Yeah North Texas has a pretty good influence on The Ticket. Jub Jub, Junior, Rich Philips and I even think Sean Bass are all NT Alums. Black cloud Danny attended NT for a semester before he dropped out and I believe some of the night and weekend ticker guys are NT alums.

That's the kiss of death. We have no chance now. If any of us had half the money Norm has lost on gambling, we'd be breaking ground on the new stadium right now.

He's a dill.

My favorite GGB moment...I was at the Barley House for the world premier of Pepper Theft...after a rousing rendition of Under the Bridge I went up to say hey to GGB who happened to be standing right behind Mike...I walked up and started to extend my hand for manly embrace, when I noticed Mike thought I was coming up to him as he had extended his hand as well and quickly t-rexxed his arm as he realized my intentions were not meant for him.

Ok so really thats more of a Mike story, but GGB was there. And it makes me smile.

But..."he doesn't wanna be the creepy guy". I miss Philbert.

Ok I am a diehard P1 from day 1 but what is GGB?

I'll let him explain...

Whatever happened to the STSS? Thats the real question here.

Some of us no longer have unrestricted use of a small, non-commercial radio station with a killer internet feed and no give-a-darn for integrity of schedule.

That said...if there is interest by some RTVF guys...I might be able to drum up a weekly something with some contacts back home in the Gainesville area if KNTU is no longer putting together anything like "The Green Guys".

This selection probably was made by Norm's friend Andy who is a Giant Panda. Pandas like bamboo, which is green, and don't care for Rice.

For real insight into any contest involving these two Texas teams, the best source of information is the legendary Coach Tom Foolery. I believe that he coached against both Todd Dodge and David Bailiff while at the high school level.

Pretty sure Rich Phillips is an Smu alum. He does their games on Saturday if I'm not mistaken.

Actually he is a NT grad...I believe in 91 or 92 to be exact. He does SMU games but he is a Mean Green.

How dare he? Doesn't he know about our long, storied and bitter rivalry? This is like Bear Bryant doing an Auburn post game call-in show.
