If you look up "Jerk" in the dictionary, this guys photo will be right there in living color. I hope they throw the book at this idiot. People like this drive me nuts. Who the heck do they think they are anyway...judge and jury of all the should be right according to them???? Whatever the max sentance this guy can get, he should get it and serve every single day! IDIOT!!!!

Yeah...people willing to pay for Hummers have to live with themselves. No reason to get yourself in trouble reminding them of how ridiculous they are.

This environmentalist is a douche. On a side note, what is the deal with high school kids getting hummers? I mean more power to them if they can afford it but even if I was super duper rich, I just dont think I can justify buying my kid a Hummer.

I guess Corvettes for rich kids just isn't irresponsible enough anymore.

btw, I don't care if somebody has a Hummer as their choice for driving through the jungle or hauling stuff. I just think it's retarded to have the street version of a military vehicle with a minivan interior.

Get me one with full armor and armaments and I'd feel like a badass. Offer me one to drive to Sunday School and I'd laugh at you.

Five bucks and a trip down to Harry Hines Blvd...... I can live with that.

If you want to buy a Hummer (the vehicle kind, not the Harry Hines kind) go for it. You want a Corvette, go for it...you want a Kia...fine. I don't get to say what type of car a person can drive and that's a darn good thing. Who named this guy "God" for the day????? Where does he...or anyone...get off telling someone else what they can and cannot drive as a legal private vehicle. For me, I don't get the attraction to the Hummer...just a big ugly box to me that drinks gas, but, if you like it...OK by me.

Enviromentalist my rear end!!!!! The guy is a nut case! Jail time might help him learn to respect others personal property and to "fight his personal demons" through the courts. I'll bet Bubba will enjoy having a "newbie" for a roommate in lock-up! He might just experience a whole differerent kind of ride!

I find it interesting that anyone would latch on to this "environmentalist" angle when nowhere in the article does it say that he keyed the vehicles for "environmental" reasons. If anything it is just kinda thrown in there willy nilly to let you pull random conclusions out of thin air. He never once says he did it to save mother earth. In fact, if anything, you can draw the conclusion that he did it because they "take up two parking spaces."

Man, I thought I was alone.

Thank you.

Perhaps these links to the Dallas Morning News will help.

A Southlake man charged with vandalizing a high school student's Hummer this month told police that environmental concerns regarding the vehicles motivated him to commit the crime and that he also scratched the same make of sport utility vehicle four other times.

Enviornmentalist angle was widely reported....but, it was the newspapers and TV news...so, how can you believe that? Whatever reason...the guy is an idiot and a nut case and deserves whatever he gets. I hope that he gets to see the inside of a jail cell. I am sick and tired of people destroying or damaging other people's property (or stealing it, etc.). Courts, judges allow and lawyers help let these folks "walk" with a bit of "community service" way too many times. This guy needs a bit of "reality" and then he needs some "face time" with a shrink (which he needs to pay for)!

Sounds like to me that several members of the media from different outlet listened to what the police had to say and the "environmentalist" issue obviously was part of his motive. Surely the reporters main issue when questions were allowed was..."WHY"?

But you can expect more of this. Channel 5 reported that a DBU student and Iraqi War Veteran had his Jeep vandalized on campus yesterday for fighting for this country's freedom. And now that hack Al Gore is calling for Civil Disobedience against coal-fired plants then the sky is the limit. I suppose us

will continue clinging to our guns as there seems to be more of a need than ever these days.

It is "amazing" to me what some folks will do to others to "express" their views on some topic. And the folks who damaged these cars, both in Southlake and at DBU....seem to see absolutely nothing wrong with their actions and have absolutely no respect for other people, their private property or their personal views/rights. All is well IF you agree with these nut cases (the kindest thing I can think of right now), but if you don't happen to hold their views, well....to heck with you, your rights and your property! Just how do folks think that type of action is "the right thing to do"?

The kid at DBU did NOTHING to hurt the person who destroyed his Jeep, and did a lot of good work for what he believes in for this great country of ours and for the people he was working to help. And, what happens? Some idiot destroys his Jeep and doesn't have the guts to leave a note saying who he/she might be. COWARD! But, then this is a perfect example of how these cowards act day in and day out. Shame on them...WRONG...so very wrong on so many levels!
