Did anyone else on thisboard notice that the US team won back the Ryder Cup after several losses to the European teams???? It is the "best spectator" golf there is...bar none. The crowd really gets into it and so do the players. It's as close as golf comes to a "team sport" on the professional level and is great drama.

If you don't like golf or just don't like it on TV...try the Ryder Cup the next time it is played (Europe in 2 years). You will probably wonder why all professional golf tournaments do not allow for the "fan and player" interaction that the Ryder Cup does every two years.

CONGRATS TO TEAN USA!!!!! Well done and thanks for "bringing the cup home"!!!!!

saw it briefly great job by the US team, to bad the tennis version could not seal the deal against Spain in Davis Cup.

I watched every minute I possibly could.

1. The Americans looked really good without Tiger dragging them down.

2. The Europeans couldn't handle the drunken Kentucky spectators. Lee Westwood almost had a complete meltdown.

  The schools should sue the players that opted out. The bigger and faster we can make a mess out of this, the better. And now, with this, the next school should just show up and essentially not play, i.e. walk out on the field and fumble on the first play of each possession and then let the other team score. Make ESPN have to show that for 2 hours.

  I still think it can happen if we can get a S16 appearance. HUGE boost if we get a S16 win. That's a monumental if/task, though. Honestly, I think we could pull it off if we can get better offensively.

  Cool, fun find @BillySee58. If anyone else is curious, here's football. Not trying to derail, so maybe worthy of its own thread in that forum. Pre-1980 teams dominate the T10, lone exception being 2013 HOD Bowl winner. Also, interesting to see this past 2024 season so high.

  Random thought: if the fine was known about, just put it in coach contracts that you can keep/withhold that amount from them if they leave for another school before a bowl.
