Thought this was worth posting. Tom Dienhart is Rivals national CFB writer, and mentioned the following about Tulsa this week, which might give us all some perspective on the Tulsa game as the season progresses:

"LITTLE GUYS, BIG DREAMS

All the buzz is about BCS-busters. There's East Carolina. There's BYU. There's Utah. And don't forget about Boise State.

Fresno State? Well, the Bulldogs are out of it after their 13-10 home loss to Wisconsin.

But while we are fawning over BYU, Utah, East Carolina, et al., keep your eye on Tulsa. I think Todd Graham's Golden Hurricane have a great chance to go unbeaten. But because Tulsa wasn't on the radar for pollsters in the preseason, it's unlikely the Golden Hurricane will be able to move high enough in the BCS standings to earn an automatic berth – or even qualify to be considered."

More from Pat Forde at ESPN:

"Tulsa (31). Wins so far: UAB, North Texas. Sagarin strength of schedule rating: 151st. You cannot go crazy about beating two teams with a combined 0-6 record. But The Dash loves the offensive firepower of the Golden Hurricane and believes Tulsa might go 12-0 and meet equally unbeaten East Carolina in a Conference USA title game that would put the league back on the football map. Verdict: big hug."

We can cry about where they are rated, but their only hope to play a ranked team all year is ECU. Beating Arkansas would be a nice feather for the program, but wouldn't turn many heads nationally. too bad they didn't have OU on the schedule this year for the chance to make their statement.

That being said, we'd be lucky to win 3 games against their schedule, so that's nice.

NT will be lucky to win 3 games with it's schedule!
