It just send the message to his team that they are there to WIN and that he believes in them. Maybe not the brightest move because they could be 3 to 0 right now but it still showed some balls.

BTW, flip to the Deuce and watch this game (FAU/Michigan State) - FAU looks great and I have a great feeling about this game.

It was a 43 yarder, actually.

And it was raining and sloppy. So much so that when they tried a much shorter field goal later, the snap was bobbled. And that aborted field goal was set up by a fumbled shotgun snap mishandled by the Michigan State QB.

You are 100% right that FAU is there playing to win. Even though their first three series haven't been that productive in terms of points, I expect they'll still keep trying to win.

What a killer penalty on the second or third play of the game. FAU broke a 74-yard touchdown run, but it was called back by a holding penalty against a wide receiver. In replay it looked like the hold was behind the play. He just grabbed the DB's shirt when the DB turned to pursue the runningback flying past.

The score should be 10-7, FAU right now. FAU had a 74 yard TD called back for a very questionable "hold"... and then they muffed the snap on a chip shot field goal. I just do not understand why FAU would agree to let Big Ten refs call this game. I am in the camp that thinks OOC games should be called by neutral conference refs.
