i can't wait till we have a new stadium, so we can move on to getting the players a indoor practice facility.

...and then once we DO have the indoor practice facility we can work on getting a Holodeck like all the other teams have so they can simulate the game against the opposing team. My great, great, great, great grandson (who turned down the Starfleet Academy on the Moon to attend UNT back on Earth) will remember me and think "Well, Grandpa NCMeanGreen, at least we did not have to wait 300 years for this like you did for Fouts to be replaced!"

      Just as I like to use "North Texas" as our name and never "UNT". But there are hundreds of teams with Eagles as a mascot. Mean Green is unique and ours alone (marketing opportunity). .......................... As for the PAC and revenue I found this article that mentions the PAC-2 gained $50 mil from the Rose Bowl this year and will get another $50 mil next year... "However, to add a bit more salt to Oregon's wound, a couple of former conference foes are receiving a big payday from the Rose Bowl.       I wouldn't necessarily say that we won't play UNT again in football. SMU has played UNT a ton throughout its history. Far more than any other regional schools in the P4. That said, I doubt we will ever play in Denton again.

      Nice Article: Maintaining Success

      Hodge was a Juco HC before joining UNT as an assistant. He brought in the defensive game planning and was used to having to recruit and re-roster the majority of his teams each year. It's always been like that at Juco level and is similar now at D1 level with players leaving for NIL and more playing time. But some older coaches were used to developing their own players for 4-5 years. Similar to FBS football, some coaches are having trouble adapting to the new era of recruiting a new roster each season. If Ross keeps us winning and gaining hardware we he will attract poachers for his services at a bigger program, like McCasland did.
