As Hurricane Ike progresses into the Gulf of Mexico the possibility becomes more likely that the LSU-North Texas game scheduled for this upcoming weekend will be relocated to Texas Stadium in Irving.

It would still be a LSU home game, just played in Irving, Texas.

Most of Baton Rouge still doesn't have power restored since Gustov went through on Monday, and scheduling the game in the Superdome is becoming less likely with the possibility of another New Orleans evacuation.

The decision may be made as early as Monday but will certainly be decided by Tuesday.

I would love that! I don't want to lose home games to Texas Stadium, or next year to Jerry World. But, an AWAY game at Texas Stadium would be great. I hope LSU goes for it as it would give them some exposure in DFW they haven't had in a long time. There are a LOT of their grads here.

Anyone think Les Miles is the kind of guy that would hang a 100 on somebody?

You better believe it. Especially, if they're playing right in the heart of the DFW Metroplex. What better stage to flex your muscles in front some of Texas' best high school recruits.

I'm thinking Shreveport. Canceling the game is high unlikely , they have to play and Shreveport could be the location.

LSU has already released a statement that the game will not be played in Shreveport. They's have already narrowed the choices to Tiger Stadium, the Superdome, and Texas Stadium.

Giving those choices coupled with the probable path of Ike (southern LA.), Texas Stadium seems the most safe and logical choice.

So true, especially considering the time constraints the two schools and the venues are facing for getting the location changed. How long can you maintain a 'wait and see' before it becomes too late to keep the game scheduled?

Oh, and Hurricane Ike has now been upgraded to a Category 4 Hurricane (Same as Katrina) and has not even gotten to the warm Gulf waters yet. Sustained winds are already at 135 miles per hour. Hurricane Ike on National Weather Service. This storm could possibly escalate into the Catagory 5 storm that New Orleans has been dreading for decades.

And there still is the distinct possibility of this storm going towards New Orleans or southern coastal Louisiana. Potential path of Ike

The line for the game should be 60+, im not overdoing it one bit. The offense will get shut down and the defense will be on the field for the entire game. Possible warning: This is could one of the worst games in UNT history.

The storm projections: It way too soon to tell, if it hits Cuba which it will, it will send the storm in a new direction.

Currently it looks more like Texas than Louisana, which would suck, cause I would love to play in Texas stadium

One thing for sure, this is the storm of the year. Not that sissy Gustav....
