NTTV will begin its coverage of Mean Green Soccer this week with the OU game on Friday.

Due to certain circumstances we can not broadcast live at the moment. So we will air the game Saturday Sept 6th @ Noon.

But don't wait to watch the game, come out and support the Ladies. It should be a great game.

Awesome! Any chance we can get a live feed or tape delay on road trippers? This will be very cool!

I wish. We don't really have a budget nor the capabilities to send a full production crew to away games. Its something I hope to set in motion for the NTTV of the near future.

We will be tape delay on the next three home games. Hopefully we can broadcast the rest of the season live (as well as replays). I am working on getting fiber lines worked out now. We use the fiber system to get the basketball games back to the station. Once we work out all the fiber lines we should be able to go live from Soccer, Softball, Volleyball, Fouts and The Pit.

In addition to the Soccer games, we are planning on doing 4 volleyball games and the last 3 home football games. And we are also set to broadcast the Sun Belt Soccer Championship not only on NTTV, but on Sun Belt Extra as well.

Its going to be a great semester for NTTV Sports.

Couple NT Hosted tournaments this fall and looks to be a great team this year.

There are a couple of problems with covering Tennis (even just highlights)

First: we need scaffolding to get over the fence. Which we are getting because we need it for Softball.

Second: even once we have scaffolding we will only be able to set up on one court.

Third: I just checked out the schedule and it looks like we wont be able to get to Tennis, in a broadcasting sense. The two tournaments are scheduled at "bad" times. The first one (Sept 12-14) we wont have all the proper equipment. The 2nd (Nov 7-9) is during the Sun Belt Soccer Championship, which we will be covering.

So "skip to the end", NTTV Sports can't do much with Tennis this semester. Sorry untbowler. :(

Not a problem I am excited you have at least thought about it.

What could work would be having an area on top of the Club House to shoot at an angle covering a couple courts.

Maybe in the spring it could work

Best thing to do would be to attend the game on Friday, watch the replay NTTV Saturday, and then read the NT Daily write up on Tuesday.. then you get a full dose of the soccer team

Yep. Even when we go Live, I want the stands to be filled. Not only does it look better on TV (even though all our cameras will be on the stands side, and thats a topic I dont want to get into), but NTTV isnt there to get viewers. We are there to spread NT Athletics and for people to say "Hey that was a great game, I'm going to go next time/right now."

      I would like them to be good enough to be Quad 1 but not too good to get Will Wade hired away because they're our only home game on the books for next year lol.

      UTSA Game Poll

      UTSA is 4-0 at home and 0-5 away for 4-5 overall. NT is 3-2 at home and 2-2 away for 5-4 overall. They haven't gone thru the 3 game gauntlet NT has. Homer says we'll win by 14.

      Around the League / UNT Opponents

      figure one main thread to keep track of how our opponents are faring. the AAC is off to a pretty strong start...overall record of 29-7. plus currently Oregon State, High Point and Utah State / St. Bonaventure are all 3-0 - Memphis (2-0) with two quality wins v. Mizzou and UNLV. they should be undefeated (though San Francisco isn't a gimmie) heading into a 11/25 game with UCONN. - UAB (2-1)...I thought their loss to Vermont wouldn't look too bad, but UV has two pretty ugly losses now. really intriguing game tomorrow 11/15 v. High Point - FAU (2-1) look tough...their loss was by 6 to UCF who already beat then 13th A&M. - the other undefeated teams, ECU (3-0), Temple (3-0), Tulane (3-0), Tulsa (3-0), Wichita St. (2-0) collectively really haven't played much of a schedule...best win is probably WSU over WKU...but they've made pretty light work of what's in front of them. Games of interest over the next week or so: 11/14 - Northern Iowa @ Wichita State 11/15 - UAB @ HighPoint ; Temple @ Boston College ; FAU v. Charlston and Liberty (11/16) 11/21 - Memphis @ San Francisco ; FAU v. Oklahoma State (3 day tourney...would play Miami or Drake next)

      Sure but how good is Charlotte? They beat Richmond who lost to Marist. Utah State's other D1 win is against 0-3 Alcorn State who lost to an NAIA school. Again too early to really tell either way.
