From ESPN:

The LSU-Troy football game scheduled for Saturday has been postponed in the wake of Hurricane Gustav, according to media reports in Louisiana.

The Times-Picayune and the Daily Reveille, the student newspaper at Louisiana State, both cited sources in reporting that the game would be postponed and likely rescheduled for Nov. 15, an open date for both teams.

No. 7 LSU was expected to make an official announcement at 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday.

Most of Baton Rouge is still without power, including Tiger Stadium, which sustained minor damage from the storm.

Of course it will be cancelled - call me Hurricane green! I had tickets to the LSU game in 2005 as one of my trips for Mean Green football only at that time from Hawaii. Coming from Vegas now so not as big of a disappointment if it doesn't go. Yet, I know those Cajuns and they are going to be ready for a game come UNT weekend. Wouldn't be surprised if they have the Death Valley team working on overdrive!

GOD Bless Louisiana.

If UNT and LSU can't meet next week, there are no common open dates after that. The only open date left on LSU's schedule is October 4, when UNT hosts Florida International.

Here's my "big d!ckhead post of the day".

If the whole place is still devastated, does that mean they forfeit and we win? Or is it just a cancelled game?

I now return to my regularly scheduled boring self.
