Well, at least Cedric Hardman set the NCAA single game sack record by recording 11 one afternoon against Tulsa in 1969.

The QB must have just decided to lie down every time he saw him coming!

EDIT: No offense, but are you sure that's accurate? Wikipedia is by no means perfect, but it says quite differently.

It is what happened. Unfortunately the NCAA (nor NFL) officially kept sack stats back then., but nobody had ever heard about a player getting 11 in one day.

There actually seems to be a lot of talk about it on campus. Earlier I was given a roll of about 200 "Beat Tulsa" stickers to give out later this week. All the other dorms have them too. I am going to be optimistic and say 26,546!

That was actually my last game in person. Took my ex and her kid to see what I called "our badass team". Maybe she left me because my idea of a "badass team" is one that loses 54-2.

I stand corrected. Hardman only had 11 sacks in that game against Tulsa.
