My hopeful prediction is 6-6. Of course I would love better but to me 6-6 would be a huge accomplishment given what transpired last year.

5-6 wins. 7 would make my football pants go crazy!

Give me a 100% better season than last with 4 wins and I will be happy. This team still needs a lot of work.

I don't know about happy, but I would be patient and understanding with 4 wins. Less than that will try both.

I still say 5-7.

After such an asswhipping, it's hard to see us winning more than two games again.

I'm not as pessimistic. It sounds like we had better tackling, we won the turnover battle, gave up two sacks, gave up 5 tackles for a loss, ZERO interceptions, and our running backs had good averages.

Still need some better plays on special teams and our offense certainly didn't play to the potential we know they can achieve.

We got whipped, no doubt. But this was a far, FAR better showing than last year against OU.

We said it couldn't get any worse than last year's opener, and it didn't. We will be competitive with a chance to win againt ULL, ULM, FIU, WKU, and possibly MT and FAU. 5 wins is still a reasonable goal.

45-6 is better than 79-10, 56-7, and 65-0...a little better anyway.

UAB, a horrible 2-10 team last year, put up over 400 yards on Tulsa tonight. Turnovers and poor offense in the 2nd half cost them a game they led at halftime. Expect a barnburner next week, may even look like our Navy game.

I would love to know how we were trying to run up the score at the end with our 2nd string QB? Who was put in the 3rd quarter and wasnt making the best passes.

Uhh, 15 seconds left and up 42-6, most teams take a knee. You were lining up in the shotgun and taking shots at the endzone. And kicked the field goal. Yes, it was our job to stop you, but that would definitely qualify as running up the score.
