32 Years?

ESPN arrived in my mailbox before work today. On the "page ticker" it says a guy finally completed his 32-year quest to see all 119 D-1 teams in person. Not at home, but in person.

How serious was he about trying? If you find 2 or 3 teams in your state from different conferences, who don't play similar "in state rivals" or each other, that's 24 to 36 in 2-3 years (22 to 33 until recently)...and if there's a bowl or 2 or 3 in or near your state (he's from NJ, how many are within a few hours?)...if you tried really hard and scheduled well, you could see most of them within 5 years, 10 tops. Even if he didn't have a lot of money to travel...if there's a team coming to the state that hasn't traveled there in a long time, go see that game.

Again, if you made this a serious "goal", how long do you expect it would take you? I'd say probably about 15 years, allowing for some tough financial times or time restraints.

That is true, you could do it faster, but who knows what the guy had going on and his financial restraits along with family responsibilities, ect.
