Couple Of Questions

I have a couple of questions.

When will the football team leave Denton? Friday or Saturday?

Will the team fly up to Manhattan or ride a bus?

Manhattan is about 480 miles from Denton, so a

bus ride will be 9 to 10 hours driving time.

I know I am tired after a long car trip, so I wonder

if a long bus ride will affect the players the same way?

Anyone know the team travel arrangements?

The team will probably fly into Manhattan on Friday. I know that you used to be able to charter a plane and land in Manhattan. Unless there have been major changes, that is my guess. Bussing to Manhattan could be a tragedy. When we lost to them to end their drought in the early 90's we bussed in.

Someone posted the team's weekly schedule on another thread and it mentioned charter plane to KS today. They usually take SWA from either DAL or AFW. The question is when/where do we meet the team back after they beat KSU?

Looks like they're taking a chartered, 137 seat, Southwest Airlines 737-700 from Love Field to Manhattan Regional Airport...wheels up at 2040z (1540 CDT).

Ya...the left here (victory hall dorm, where i work and they live) about 2 hours ago to go to the airport...they are flying...

looks like it could be a bumpy ride to start, but I was shocked to see it is only a 45 minute flight.

It was originally blocked for 38 minutes, but the deviations in the departure out of DAL and a big deviation for weather impacting the Pioneer/Ponca City area made it a 1hr. 9min. trip.

Gotta love an airport that reminds you on the Jepp charts that there might be deer on the runway.
