North Texas has posted its game notes for the Kansas State game. Among those listed in the two-deep are two freshman (one redshirt) DT's--Jordan Scoggins and Troy Franklin. Jamel Jackson is running second at WR and listed as a kick returner and plenty of new defensive backs on the two deep.

"Future schedules have Kansas State to making its first trip to Denton in 2010".

Huh ???? Is this still true ? Sounds like this was made with the promise that there would be a new stadium to play in....

Kansas State fans travel very well. We could break the NT home game attendance record....if we have a large enough stadium by then.

The only scholarship non-senior from last year that's no longer on the roster is Stubblefield. He had been hurt and probably saw little playing time, especially if he wasn't 100% recovered.

Which leads to a question. If any scholarship athlete is injured and no longer able to continue in the program does that count the same as someone who leaves the program? Of course, if we have a cumulative 425 then the question is moot.

Out of the 102 listed players from last year 28 non-seniors (last year) are missing and I know that more than one was on scholarship

NT scholarship football players that left within the last year with eligibility remaining. According to my count there are 13, not exact but should be close; King, Padron, Fentress, Gilmore, Peachy, Stubblefield, Washington, Green, Nelson, Rexrode, Roman, Chatman, and Garden.

This is why I think that NT may be in real trouble with the APR ratings. Far too many players lost but probably not unusual with coaching change. The silver lining is that I think the vast majority left the team in good academic standing.

I see three names that were not in good academic standing.

Also I see more first year players leaving than before.

The APR is currently about 899 well below the 925 needed and we still have time to go lower but no way to get higher

Weren't a couple of those players planning to continue their studies at UNT? If so, they are not deducted from the APR.
