The first two posts on the SMU message board about Cameron Spencer leaving were both generally positive about him and his ability. One poster even said he was "glad he (Cameron) found a good program to go to." Usually anyone leaving a program is demonized on the former home board.

I'm glad for Cameron to good a solid opportunity to continue playing ball. He is a hard worker and always brought energy to the floor. His footwork and passing skills are pretty advanced for a big but he really, really needs to work on his offensive game. Heck, even being able to consistently finish inside of 5 feet would make him a valuable player considering the other things he brings to the table. This redshirt year sitting out could be the best thing that happened to Cam. Best of luck!

It would not surprise me to see him really improve over the next 3 years playing against better players everyday @ practice.

Also, I think he will playing a "very relaxed" style of play that Jones operates under.

I'm glad he found a good program to go to & agree that it was best for him to move on.

The big question may be how much time can you afford a defensive specialist. He appears to be superior at rebounding, blocking shots and defense in general. But, he scored 45 points in two years with the Mustangs, meaning that he averaged a shot about every two games.

Hope he develops. Also, glad to see JJ's extension was approved. Why do the coaches refer to RV as Coach?

RV used to be an assistant football coach. Once a coach always a coach.
