Woo hoo, what a nice break in the heat! Hard to believe we are in August with the cool temperatures here in north central Texas, since friday the temp has been around 67-69 degrees during the mornings. As for rain, for western Parker County, we have recieved 4 inches of rain the past 72 hours. Crazy. Makes you wonder what the coming winter will bring?

Snow, maybe. Texas drivers not driving carefully, definitely. I remember in 2004 or 2005, I was visiting my girlfriend-at-the-time's parents in Flower Mound and between Denton and there, I saw 4 vehicles that had slid off the roads, mostly on curves, 3 of which were SUVs.

No kidding. Hopefully it'll keep bringing my electric and water bill down. My tomatoes were not doing too good in the heat. Nice to see some lower temps!

NICE...VERY NICE. Good to see the low temps and the rain. Denton is even considering lifting its outdoor burn ban. What say you to that FFR? Good idea or not?

Living in Arkansas has its advantages. My electric bill hasn't gone past $50 all summer and my apartment has stayed =< 75 degrees. What really helps my eletric bill is that the rates are half that of Texas.

:P

edit: I realized my temp was wrong. It's fixed now.

living in santa fe definitely has its perks. we have no A/C and it's a comfortable 70 -75 degrees inside during the summer. Our temps range mid to upper 80's typically tho some days reach low 90's and that's a heat wave for us. Evening temps drop into the 50's. Our humidity during the summer is high - 20 to 30 percent but in the spring it goes as low as 4%. July and August are the "monsoon" season, meaning all the rain we get for the year falls in these 2 months, typically. But, we get some snowfall in the winter but only for a day or two. The majority of snow falls on the mountain at the ski basin. And, oh yes, we get paid by the electric company because of all our solar panels. It's about $60 a month. Life is good! :) Don't miss the TX climate one bit.

I am selling my house in C-town... it requires a new roof before the closing date... and it has been raining non-stop. I just want one sunny day before next Wednesday to get it done.

In summary, the weather is defeating me.
