It looks like I'm gonna have to dump everything into my 1st issue since I'm self-publishing, unless I snag one or more of the sponsors I'm looking for. So, for the 3rd straight year, I will be absent from all of the fun (since trips from Phoenix are a little expensive).

Sucks...the last time I was there for a game was in 05 against Tulsa, and aside from that and FAU in 04, I hadn't been present for a home loss since 97. It's great when you're lucky enough to only be there when your team wins for like 7 years in a row...but even in losing seasons, it sucks to not be able to make it at all.

Looks like I'll have to catch all of you guys next fall...unless the comic or paintings start bringing in revenue (which won't likely happen for at least 4 or 5 months).

More like save a few hundred to get there! We were going to drive back in Nov. and schedule our trip so we could make a home game...I can afford the ticket costs, but for gas, lodging, and food it's more like $500-700 for the 4-5 days. About the same if we were to fly. So unless Emmitt gets a $50K bonus for a drug bust and feels like throwing some towards a plane ticket it's probably not gonna happen.

I hear ya...the wife and I can only afford to go to Manhattan for a one day trip cause she's going back to school. I love living in Colorado but I miss my Mean Green!!!

I haven't heard anything like that mentioned around the City of Dallas lately, and don''t expect to considering our recent history in such matters.

Exactly...which further shows how unlikely it is that I'll be home this year. Though if something like that did happen, I wouldn't put it past Emmitt to fund my trip to a game.
